At a Glance - European Investment Bank: 2016 financial report - 25-04-2018 25-04-2018 12:00 AM CEST During the May I plenary session, the European Parliament is expected to discuss the financial report of the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the year 2016. The increasing importance of the EIB, both in budgetary terms and in its varied funding contributions in different areas of activity, calls for high level of transparency and accountability. Although the European Parliament's Committee on Budgetary Control (CONT) acknowledges some progress in this regard, it considers there is still room for improvement.
