Coming up in committees 12-04-2018 05:34 PM CEST Asylum procedure regulation: committee vote LIBE - 12-04-2018 - 17:33 The Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs will vote on its legislative report on the establishment of a common procedure for international protection in the EU, during its meeting of 16.04.18 in Strasbourg. The aim is to replace the various procedures in the Member States by a common procedure for all applications for international protection. The decision to enter into interinstitutional negotiations and the composition of Parliament's negotiating team will also be voted on. OLAF Director post: hearings, vote CONT - 12-04-2018 - 17:33 The Committee on Budgetary Control will vote a motion for resolution on the integrity policy of the European Commission and in particular on the appointment of the Commission's Secretary-General, during its meeting of 16.04.18. The Committee will also hear the candidates shortlisted by the Commission for the post of Director of the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF), namely Ville Itälä, Ivailo Kalfin, François Kruger and Andreas Mlitzke. The hearings will be followed by a vote by secret ballot. Further information CONT meeting agenda and documents Subject file: Integrity policy of the Commission Fact Sheet on combating fraud and protecting the Union's financial interests EU aid to redundant Caterpillar employees in Belgium: committee debate BUDG - 12-04-2018 - 17:33 The Budgets Committee will discuss Belgium's application to mobilise the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for a contribution of EUR 4,6 million to facilitate labour market re-integration of 2,287 workers made redundant by Caterpillar Solar Gosselies and five suppliers in Hainaut. This is Belgium's second application in relation to Caterpillar, covering the remaining workers following the closure of all of Caterpillar´s activities in Belgium.
