| North Korea's Kim Jong Un and South Korea's Moon Jae-in said they had "sincere, candid" talks on the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula during their summit talks near Seoul on Friday and that they would do everything in their power to avoid war. Earlier, Kim became the first North Korean leader to set foot on South Korean soil since the Korean War ceased in 1953. The rival nations gave few details over how denuclearization would be achieved.
