Watch for a young moon this weekend The young moon is back in the west after sunset. Very lovely, and passing near some bright stars in the days ahead. Cassini dives between Saturn and its rings This spacecraft made the 1st-ever dive through the gap between Saturn's outer atmosphere and inner rings on Wednesday. Cassini dives between Saturn and its rings This unprocessed image shows features in Saturn's atmosphere from closer than ever before. The view was captured by NASA's Cassini spacecraft during its first Grand Finale dive past the planet on April 26, 2017.
