	August 09, 2017  MEDIA ADVISORY M17-090 NASA Television to Air Launch of Next Space Station Resupply Mission On June 3, 2017, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched the Dragon spacecraft from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kenney Space Center in Florida on the company's 11th commercial resupply services mission to the International Space Station. NASA commercial cargo provider SpaceX is targeting its 12th commercial resupply services mission to the International Space Station for 12:31 p.m. EDT Monday, Aug. 14. Coverage will begin on NASA Television and the agency's website Sunday, Aug. 13, with two briefings. Loaded with more than 6,400 pounds of research, crew supplies and hardware, the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft will launch on a Falcon 9 rocket. The payloads include crucial materials to directly support several of the more than 250 science and research investigations to be conducted on the orbiting laboratory during Expeditions 52 and 53. Complete coverage of CRS-12 activities is as follows: Sunday, Aug. 13 2 p.m. – Prelaunch news conference 3:30 p.m. – "What's on Board" science briefing Monday, Aug. 14 Noon – Launch coverage 2 p.m. – Post-launch news conference Wednesday, Aug. 16 5:30 a.m. – Spacecraft rendezvous at the space station and capture 8:30 a.m. – Installation to the space station About 10 minutes after launch, Dragon will reach its preliminary orbit and deploy its solar arrays. A carefully choreographed series of thruster firings are scheduled to bring the spacecraft to rendezvous with the space station. NASA astronaut Jack Fischer and ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Paolo Nespoli will grapple Dragon using the space station's robotic arm. It then will be installed on the station's Harmony module. The Dragon spacecraft will spend approximately one month attached to the space station, returning to Earth in mid-September with results of earlier experiments. View in browser 10 August 2017 Business, industry and trade Construction output in Great Britain: June 2017 Construction output fell 3 month on 3 month by 1.3%, after growth of 1.1% in the first 3 months of 2017. This 3 month on 3 month contraction in output has been driven by falls in both all new work, and repair and maintenance, which fell 1.3% and 1.4% respectively. Economy UK index of production: June 2017 In the 3 months to June 2017, the Index of Production was estimated to have decreased by 0.4% compared with the 3 months to March 2017, due mainly to a fall of 0.6% in manufacturing. The largest contribution to the fall in manufacturing in the 3 months to June 2017 came from transport equipment, which fell by 2.2%, along with smaller downward contributions from a range of other industries. UK trade: June 2017 Between Quarter 1 (Jan to Mar) 2017 and Quarter 2 (Apr to June) 2017, the total trade deficit (goods and services) widened by £0.1 billion to £8.9 billion as increases in imports were closely matched by increases in exports. The UK's total trade deficit (goods and services) widened by £2.0 billion between May and June 2017 to £4.6 billion, due to increases in imports of both goods and services; erratic commodities had little impact within the total trade balance on the month. The current NS definition intends to identify deaths from conditions for which most are due to alcohol.  Different definitions are used across government, including government agencies and the devolved administrations, to measure alcohol-related mortality, with the total number of deaths varying substantially. This consultation aims to review which causes of death are appropriate to include in the NS definition, with the view to having a single definition across government. Mars Express image of the month: Varying Martian landscape in Coracis Fossae


Traces of surface processes that took place billions of years ago can often be seen in the oldest regions of Mars. The latest images from the High Resolution Stereo Camera (HRSC), operated by the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum fuer Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR) on board the ESA Mars Express spacecraft show such a region – an ancient, highly rugged mountain range in the Thaumasia Highlands.
