Her efforts paid off when she found Dr. Susan Manzi, a nationally-recognized lupus specialist and director of the Lupus Center of Excellence at Allegheny Health Network. Dr. Manzi also serves as medical director of the Lupus Foundation of America.

There are many different so-called anti-inflammatory diets, and though each may have some unique features, they all emphasize increased consumption of omega-3 fatty acids. This type of diet is likely to reduce calorie intake and help prevent obesity, which can itself reduce inflammation. Learn more
