Through their attorneys, President Trump's former campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his associate Rick Gates, entered pleas of not guilty in a federal court on Monday. Manafort identified himself in court but said little else. Gates did the same. Special counsel Robert Mueller has charged both men with working secretly to influence the U.S. government on behalf of pro-Russian factions in Ukraine before they worked on the Trump campaign, and laundering their profits through a series of overseas businesses and bank accounts.
