Harry is on a mission.

Support the MGH Fund

There are so many reasons to renew your support of the MGH Fund with a gift of $35, $50 or $100 — and Harry Burns is one of them. Harry Burns was just about to turn five when he started his fight against leukemia. Now he's seven, and with two years of intensive chemotherapy behind him, the toughest part is thankfully over. As Harry rounds the bend in his fight against cancer, we are with him every step of the way.

I hope you'll help offer your support, too — for Harry, his family and every patient and family who needs the treatment and care that Massachusetts General Hospital provides. Your generous renewal donation of $35, $50 or $100 will help us meet the most urgent needs across the hospital.

When you make your gift to the MGH Fund, you'll join families like Harry's in their efforts to win their battles against diseases like leukemia.

To give back for the care Harry has received, the Burns family created the Fire Walk Challenge to support pediatric cancer research at MassGeneral Hospital for Children. Participants walk across a path of LEGO® pieces without wearing shoes, or instead contribute to support cancer treatment and patient care.

That's why Harry was honored by the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center as part of the one hundred, which honors 100 individuals and groups whose commitment to the fight against cancer inspires us all to take action.

There are many other patients, just like Harry, fighting for their lives right now at Mass General. Together, with your renewed support of the MGH Fund and your gift of $35, $50 or $100, we'll be standing beside them every step of the way — and helping more children, women and men fight their diseases. You've been a generous supporter in the past, and I hope we can count on you again. You have my deepest gratitude for your help.

Sincerely,
Peter L. Slavin, MD
