ONS has today published updated 'flow of funds' figures showing how money moves in, around and out of the UK economy. The updated figures use improved methods and new data sources to help identify the build-up of potential risk. The new figures have been used to produce a range of innovative, interactive visualisations, including updated Sankey diagrams. A full article including the interactive visualisations can be found on the ONS website. In addition, ONS statistician Richard Campbell has written a blog post talking about ONS's work to develop flow of funds statistics and explaining their importance to policy makers.
