BREAKING: House approves short-term spending bill, Senate must approve before midnight Friday to avoid shutdown

The Senate was considered likely to pass the bill, and President Trump said he would sign it. Even so, the extension is so short that the pressure to come up with a long-term spending bill will continue unabated.
