Breaking: Democrat Doug Jones officially certified winner of Alabama special Senate election despite Roy Moore’s lawsuit

Moore's court filing also asked for a temporary restraining order to stop the official certification. Jones, who won in the deep-red state by about 20,000 votes, is expected to be sworn in early next year when the Senate returns.
