The man suspected of running down five pedestrians, killing one, in San Francisco was identified Thursday as a 33-year-old man, according to jail records. Mark Dennis was booked into the San Francisco County Jail on charges of murder, attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon that's not a firearm. He is being held without bail. The bizarre hit and run occurred around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, when the driver of a white van allegedly slammed into five men near the intersection of 24th and Illinois streets, according to the San Francisco Police Department. The five men were transported to the hospital, and one died from his injuries. |
