Machine learning model provides rapid prediction of C. difficile infection risk

Researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital, the University of Michigan and Massachusetts Institute of Technology have developed investigational "machine learning" models that can predict a patient's risk of contracting Clostridium difficile, an aggressive, gut-infecting bacteria much earlier than it would be diagnosed with current methods.
