Employment guidelines
On 21 March EMPL Members will consider the amendments tabled on the draft report of Miroslavs Mitrofanovs (Green/EFA, LV). In his draft report, the Rapporteur suggests approving the Commission proposal with 36 amendments and Members tabled 143 amendments. The vote is scheduled on 25 April.

New skills
The plenary vote on the report of Thomas Mann (EPP, DE) and Svetoslav Hristov Malinov (EPP, BG) on the proposal for a decision of the European Parliament and of the Council on a common framework for the provision of better services for skills and qualifications (Europass) and repealing Decision No 2241/2004/EC will take place on 15 March. The aim of this revision is to simplify and modernise Europass tools and add a new feature.

Savings rise
The report of Krzysztof Hetman has been adopted in plenary by 330 votes to 292 with 29 abstentions. The objective of this report is to allow the Parliament to make comments that might be necessary on the employment and social situation in the EU, the progress made towards the Europe 2020 employment and social targets and the related priorities put forward in the Commission's package, with a view to the 2018 Spring European Council.

Employment guidelines
On 21 March EMPL Members will consider the amendments tabled on the draft report. The new proposed revised guidelines for the employment policies of the Member States have been amended to align the text with the principles of the European pillar of social rights, with a view to improving Europe's competitiveness and making it a better place to invest, create jobs and foster social cohesion.

In the draft report, Tatjana Zdanoka (Greens/EFA, LV) suggested approving the Commission proposal with 36 amendments and Members tabled 143 additional amendments. The new rapporteur is Mitroslavs Mitrofanovs (Greens/EFA, LV).
