Breaking: U.S. shuts Playa del Carmen consulate in Mexico, bans U.S. workers from area after bomb incidents

It did not specify what that threat is. The move comes after a Feb. 21 explosion on the ferry that links the town with another popular Yucatan resort, Cozumel. The incident injured 25 people, including two Americans. On March 1, undetonated explosives were found by Mexico law enforcement on another tourist ferry.
