Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, a stalwart of South Africa's anti-apartheid movement, has died after a long illness, her family says. She was the ex-wife of late President Nelson Mandela.
Further clash in Nigeria despite 'negotiations,' 18 dead
A clash between Boko Haram jihadis and Nigerian troops near Maiduguri has left at least 18 people dead, according to police in the northeastern city. Two villages and a military base were targeted.
