The Committee on Employment and Social Affairs will vote on the outcome of inter-institutional negotiations regarding new EU rules on the posting of workers, on 25.04.17. The revised rules aim to ensure better protection for posted workers and fair competition for companies.

The Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs will vote on its report on the establishment of a common procedure for international protection in the EU, the decision to enter into interinstitutional negotiations and the negotiating team's composition, on 25.04.18. The Committee will also vote on the provisional interinstitutional agreement on the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS), and on the draft Annual Report on the Functioning of the Schengen area.

The Committees on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs, and on Women's Rights and Gender Equality will vote on an assessment of the implementation report of the Directive on the rights, support and protection of victims of crime, on 26.04.18. The Directive aims to ensure that victims of crime are recognised, treated with respect and receive proper support and access to justice, taking into account the gender perspective and the needs of specific groups of victims.




Odometer manipulation in motor vehicles: committee vote

The Committee on Transport and Tourism will vote on the report on the revision of the rules on odometer manipulation in motor vehicles, and specifically on whether to allow buyers of second-hand cars a cross-border access to information on mileage readings. The estimated cost of odometer tampering in EU is around €9 billion a year. In some Member States the fraud may relate to 80% of cars imported from other Members States. The meeting will take place on 25.04.18.




Modernising education, access to culture, youth strategy: committee votes

The Committee on Culture and Education will vote on its non-legislative reports on: modernising education in the EU; structural and financial barriers in the access to culture; and the implementation report on the EU Youth Strategy. The meeting will take place on 25.04.18.




Food law, vaccination, digital healthcare: committee debate

The Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety will go over the Commission's work in relation to the General Food Law, vaccination and digital healthcare. The meeting will take place on 26.04.18, during which Commissioner Vytenis Andriukaitis is expected to present a proposal on transparency and sustainability of the EU risk assessment in the food chain. The current situation as regards e-health and vaccines will also be looked into.
