The executive order signed by President Trump on Tuesday is a big step in the right direction," Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson writes in The Washington Times. "Millions of people strive every day to escape poverty. It's time we reform our welfare system to support them and unlock the untapped human potential in our forgotten inner cities and small towns," Secretary Carson adds.

In Fox News, David Bossie writes that "the effort by Senate Democrats to block CIA Director Mike Pompeo from being confirmed as secretary of state is just [their] latest political stunt." Bossie says that we live in serious times, and Americans are paying attention. "It's time to confirm Mike Pompeo – with a simple majority if necessary."
