Highlights - Guidelines for the employment policies of the Member States - Committee on Employment and Social Affairs 19-03-2018 02:40 PM CET On 21 March EMPL Members will consider the amendments tabled on the draft report. The new proposed revised guidelines for the employment policies of the Member States have been amended to align the text with the principles of the European pillar of social rights, with a view to improving Europe's competitiveness and making it a better place to invest, create jobs and foster social cohesion. In the draft report, Tatjana Zdanoka (Greens/EFA, LV) suggested approving the Commission proposal with 36 amendments and Members tabled 143 additional amendments. The new rapporteur is Mitroslavs Mitrofanovs (Greens/EFA, LV).
