Highlights - International activities on animal welfare and competitiveness of EU farmers - Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development 20-03-2018 02:59 PM CET A representative of DG SANTE will present to AGRI Members its recent report on the impact of international animal welfare activities on the competitiveness of European livestock producers. The issue is a crucial one for EU farmers, since it is important to disseminate the EU's animal welfare rules internationally, notably among close trading partners, in order to ensure a level playing field on the market. It includes changes applicable to all four of the basic policy regulations. In that context, the Commission will present a set of upcoming or recently adopted delegated acts following on from the new CAP basic acts.
