Breaking: Florida House passes gun control legislation including 3-day waiting period on most gun purchases and program to arm some teachers

  In a 67-50 vote Wednesday, the Florida House sent the measure to Gov. Rick Scott three weeks after 17 were slain at a Parkland high school. The legislation also raises the minimum age to 21 to purchase a gun and gives police more authority to confiscate weapons. The shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School was Florida's third mass shooting since June 2016.
