The Committee on Budgetary Control will vote a motion for resolution on the integrity policy of the European Commission and in particular on the appointment of the Commission's Secretary-General, during its meeting of 16.04.18. The Committee will also hear the candidates shortlisted by the Commission for the post of Director of the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF), namely Ville Itälä, Ivailo Kalfin, François Kruger and Andreas Mlitzke. The hearings will be followed by a vote by secret ballot.

The Budgets Committee will discuss Belgium's application to mobilise the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for a contribution of EUR 4,6 million to facilitate labour market re-integration of 2,287 workers made redundant by Caterpillar Solar Gosselies and five suppliers in Hainaut. This is Belgium's second application in relation to Caterpillar, covering the remaining workers following the closure of all of Caterpillar´s activities in Belgium. The meeting will be held on 16.04.18.
