Computer simulation helps reveal how cancer spreads

A team of chemists and physicists at the University of Texas at Austin have simulated the early growth of a cancerous tumor, spanning from an initial 100 cells to 20,000. The research revealed that the tumor evolves distinct zones that influence how it spreads.
