The Swedish Academy, which selects the winner, said it now plans to award the prize in 2019. The postponement came after Jean-Claude Arnault, a French photographer who is married to poet and former academy member Katarina Frostenson, was accused of groping Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria at an academy event. Arnault, who is also accused of a number of other sexual abuse incidents, including rape, denies the allegations. It will be the first year since 1943 that the award is not handed out.
