Beaking: U.S. employers added 164,000 jobs in April, and the unemployment rate slipped to 3.9% from 4.1%

Economists had expected 191,000 gains. In February, warm weather pulled forward hiring, especially in construction and retail, resulting in blockbuster gains. A natural pullback led to lackluster additions of just over 100,000 in March.
