Inzwischen ist das Konstruktionsmodell des BepiColombo-Satelliten am Kontrollzentrum ESOC in Darmstadt eingetroffen. Das 1:1-Modell hilft z.B. dabei, Software vor dem Upload zu testen.

Tonight … 1st Saturn-Mercury conjunction   

The November 28 conjunction of Mercury and Saturn is the 1st in a series of 3 conjunctions between these 2 planets ... that is, the first part of what astronomers call a triple conjunction.

When is my earliest sunset?

At the latitude of Miami, Florida or Brownsville, Texas in the U.S. - or, say, the city of Naha in Okinawa, Japan - the earliest sunsets of the year are happening now. How earliest sunset varies with latitude, but always comes before the winter solstice.

Now we know Earth blocks neutrinos

Most blue whales are 'right-handed'
