BREAKING: Former state Chief Justice Roy Moore defeats Trump-backed candidate in GOP runoff for Alabama's U.S. Senate seat

  The former Alabama chief justice defeated the incumbent, U.S. Sen. Luther Strange, in Tuesday's GOP runoff. Moore will now face former U.S. Attorney Doug Jones, the Democratic nominee, in a Dec. 12 general election.
