Highlights - 62nd Session of the UN Committee on the Status of Women (CSW) - FEMM Mission - Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality 21-03-2018 04:19 PM CET Between 19 -21 March, a delegation of nine FEMM MEPs will participate at the 62nd session of the UN CSW. The priority theme of the session is "Challenges and opportunities in achieving gender equality and the empowerment of rural women and girls", while the review theme focuses on participation in and access of women to the media, and ICTs. In this respect, the European Parliament has adopted several recommendations focused on access to education, healthcare, land ownership, decision-making, access to services and access of women to the media. The delegation members will meet H.E. António Guterres, Secretary-General of the UN, and representatives of UN bodies and civil society organisations.
