Having trouble viewing this email? | View it in your browser | Over an hour into the second government shutdown in three weeks, the Senate overwhelmingly approved a bill early Friday to extend government funding to March 23 and approve hundreds of billions in new spending over two years. The government shut down at midnight after Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., objected to the additional spending. The bill now goes to the House for an early morning vote.
