Highlights - Public Hearing: Building capacities for resilience against terrorism within the EU - Special Committee on Terrorism 22-03-2018 06:19 PM CET The public hearing of 22 March 2018 was dedicated to the topic of "Resilience". TERR Members held an exchange of views with Mr Nicolas Hénin, a French journalist and writer, former ISIS hostage in Syria, the President of the NGO "Action Resilience". This debate was followed by a presentation on "Experience and Resilience: lessons learned - a Spanish perspective" held by Mr Fernando Reinares, a Professor of Political Sciences & Security Studies at the Juan Carlos University in Madrid and a specialist in terrorism. The speakers will examine how to develop and foster civil society resilience against radicalisation and terrorism, while at the same time safeguarding public liberties and fundamental rights.
