Highlights - General budget rapporteur to tour all committees to discuss 2019 EU budget priorities - Committee on Budgets 22-03-2018 01:41 PM CET On 26 March, the general rapporteur for the 2019 EU budget, Daniele Viotti (S&D, IT), will visit the ENVI and LIBE committees to discuss their priorities and expectations for next year's budget. This kicks off a wider tour of Parliament, which will take the rapporteur to 17 committees over the course of March, April and May. The committees' expert input will allow the rapporteur to shape his position ahead of the adoption of the Draft Budget by the Commission, expected in late May. The workshop was the opportunity for Members to hear several experts and give their input on the budgetary aspects of the European Commission package for completing Europe's Economic and Monetary Union. Experts' presentations will be followed by a debate.
